For some unknown reason, I cannot download an excel template from MS Office
website. This function worked a couple of months ago and now it is not
working. I have installed activex control and have updated my office
software and it still is not working. Help please.

I don't know if this will work for you, but it worked for me.

1. Click tools
2. Click internet options
3. Click privacy tab
4. In the web sites area, click edit
5. In the address of web site textbox, paste
http://officeupdate.microsoft.com/templategallery/
6.Click allow
7.Click OK
8. Click apply
9.Exit ie and restart system

After restarting your computer, try going to the template gallery and it
should work.

When I initially tried to download template, it asked me if I wanted to save
or open it. I said open. Now, I cannot download any excel files. I can
download ms word, clip art photos. I have enabled activex, cookies, privacy,
etc.

Should I just uninstall and reinstall Office 2000 because I really need to

Thanks for your help. It is the checkbook register and cashier balance sheet
in excel. I currently have Office 2000, Windows XP. For some reason, I can
not download excel templates. I can download Word, etc.

Post an easily un-munged email address and a URL to the Template page and I'll
download and send it to you.

The URL and the munged address are not included.

Perhaps you hit the "send" button a little early?

Didn't see you Nick.
Notice Don's around also.<bg>

To me ... football means Super Bowl.

When I was growing up, back in the 40's and 50's, *no one* played soccer in
the U.S., so the exposure to soccer to folks my age was non-existent.
Totally different story today.
My grandkids *love* it.

mmmmm.....

'Football' (US) where 99.99% of the game uses anything but the foot and a
World Championship, where no one else is invited ;-)

I'll stick with ours <bg>
