Help, my browser keeps crashing

I can't be too descriptive since when I type it crashes,
but here is the error,

EXPLORER caused a general protection fault
in module USER.EXE at 0003:00001022.
followed by a bunch of mindless details, please send a
response to my e-mail so I can fix this problem, I'm using
windows 2000 office

First eliminate any scumware.
