HELP ME PLEASE !!!

ok, got this new lap top. Cant figure out how to set up the mail. I have
tried rntering both of my email accounts and they both come back to me . One
is aol and I found in the help menu to enter (imap.aol.com ) as the incoming
server and (smtp.aol.com ) as the outgoing. Still nothing and my other is
hotmail and I read that it wont work not even to waste my time. Am I sppose
to be given a windows mail account ? I have never had an Outlook account. I
need step by step help please this is all new to me. Thanks

Hotmail won't work with Windows Mail.
If you want Hotmail to work in a desktop email program,
upgrade to Windows Live Mail:
