Help, lost some of my Ultimate extras downloads.

Hi,

I upgraded from XPMCE to Vista Ultimate 64 bit over the weekend. Yesterday I
was installing some of my old apps., in particular a game GT Legends (GTL).
Unfortunately, GTL uses a copy protection that would not allow me to reboot
after installing. I had to do a repair and was able to recover. But lost some
of the all the Ultimate Extras I downloaded just before the crash. I was able
to change the restore point and recover most of them but some I still can't
get back. I can see them in the updates, but they are not installed and I
cant download them again. I can't find them on the HD either. Is there a
download cache I can reinstall them from?

Any ideas?

Thanks

Rename the SoftwareDistribution folder. (Because of possible folder
corruption or other errors.)
Click Start, Choose Run.
In the Run box, type services.msc.
Click OK.
Right-click the Automatic Updates service.
Click Stop.
Stopping the service will take a moment.

Rename the "SoftwareDistribution" folder:
a. Click Start, click Run, type %systemroot%, and then click OK.
b. Right-click the SoftwareDistribution folder, and then click Rename.
c. Type SoftwareDistribution.old, and then press ENTER to rename this
folder.
Create a new folder called "SoftwareDistribution"
Click Start. Choose Run.
In the Run box, type services.msc.
Click OK.
Right-click the Automatic Updates service.
Click Start.
Starting the service will take a moment.
Rerun Windows Update.
