HELP I need to activate windows

OK so i reinstalled my bros computer as windows xp pro sp2 but it needs to be
activated but i called the activation place and it says it is a non genuine
windows version and it will not conect to the internet so does any one know
any thing to activte it so he cn still play on it.

Why did you do that? I'd suggest reinstalling using the CD and key
supplied with his PC.

I see you're back. On how many computers did you use the same product key to
install Windows XP Pro?

Please follow this simple troubleshooting procedure, courtesy of MS MVP
Carey Frisch:

1. Download and install the WGA Diagnostic Tool

2. After running the WGA Diagnostic Tool, click on the "Windows" tab and
then click on "Copy to Clipboard".

3. Next, visit the following website and create a post in the "WGA
Validation Problems" forum and paste the results of the WGA Diagnostic Data
in a detailed post:
http://social.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/genuinewindowsxp/threads/

4. A WGA troubleshooting specialist will analyze the data and recommend an
appropriate solution.

Microsoft told you it was a pirated copy (non-genuine). Ask your
parents to buy you another legitimate copy of Windows.

This is not a pro-piracy group.

oops i had no idea OK i will sorry ppls I REALLY AM SORRY I DID NOT KNOW IT
WAS BAD TO DO THAT i will use a different CD and CD key *EMBARRESED*

One copy of Windows with ONE product key, on one computer. You don't
necessarily need more than one CD, but you WILL need a different product key
for each computer. The keys are what you pay for when you purchase Windows,
not the disks.
