Help! How to access individual files/folders from a .bkf backup

Hosh

How can I access the files created from a .bkf file?

I backed up files before sending in my laptop for service. It came back with
a clean install of WinXP and I need to get to the files, not restore the
whole thing, just get my files.
Is there a way?

Use the backup utility that created the file and launch the restore
process, it should then show you individual files within the .bkf archive.

Where did you back the files up?
If they're on the same drive and you only had it set up as one large drive with no
other volumes/partitions, you're files are gone. The only remote possibility of
retrieving any would be by a reputable data recovery shop.

If they're on the same drive, you had it partitioned and saved the files to a
different partition other than the OS partition, use the backup application you used
to either extract or restore the files.

If they're on a separate drive, connect it the same way as before when you created
the backup and use the backup application you used to either extract or restore the
files.

That's the most I can suggest with the information you provided.
