Help! How can I recover files?

I have 3 partitions in Harddisk and running WinXP in drive C. I have stored
some important files in the Desktop of the WinXP. As the WinXP has gone
some problem, so I reinstalled the WinXP. During installation, I deleted
the Partition C and re-create a new Partition C and install the WinXP in the
partition C. However, I realized that I forgot to backup all files on the
Desktop on the old drive C, and now all the files has been gone.

Please advise me how I can restore the files from the old deleted partition
C. Please Help.

At this point it's very unlikely you'll be able to recover the files. You
can try software methods (see links below) or send the drive to a
professional data recovery company such as Drive Savers
(www.drivesavers.com). The latter method will be quite expensive but they
might be able to recover the files.

When this is over, create and implement a backup strategy because Stuff
Happens.

Shut the computer down and stop using it immediately. The more you use it
the more chance there is that Windows will write over the data you want to
recover. Slave the hard drive into another computer and use data recovery
software to attempt to recover files that have not yet been written over.
I've used Recuva with good success, Google for others.
