Help! Frontpage shuts down when I try to save new pages..

Hi,

First of all, let me apologize if this shows up two or three times in the
post. I had my mail properties configured wrong and I think in trying to
configure it I sent this post more then once. I guess I really need help on
this question. ;-) Thanks in advance if you can help.

I've been using FP since it's Beta Version came out, in 96 I believe. All
my sites are in Front Page. I've run into an error however, that has me
stumped. I have a new computer (Windows NT..previously used Windows 98) and
loaded my copy of Front Page 2000 to it. However, when I try to save a new
page, or do a "save as" on an existing page, it gives me a dialogue box
saying that the program has encountered an error and has to shut down. It
will save existing pages just fine...it only gives me the error when I'm
trying to save a new page or do a save as on an existing page to save it as
a new page.

I discovered this the hard way, after working on a new page for my site for
over an hour..and then tried to save...(Shades of windows 95's illegal error
messages). I lost everything and had to begin again, only this time I
copied everything before I pushed save, and it shut down again. Then I
tried opening an existing page, deleting everything, posting the new info
and tried save as..same thing. Error and shut down. I've searched
everything and tried numerous things, but same thing...I can't get around
it. I thought maybe it was a glitch with NT so I've downloaded all the NT
service packs from Microsoft's site, but it didn't help. I even reloaded
the program hoping it would fix the
problem..nope. Anyone have any suggestions? Right now I'm having to create
any new pages on my old computer, but it won't be around forever and I'd
like to start using my new computer to do my sites on.

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give.

Close FrontPage
Do a search using windows search, for files named *.web ( with the asterisk )
Delete all found.
Then search for *.tmp and delete all found.
Then try FrontPage again.
