help for Windows XP

when installing software Windows XP is not recognizing my
administrator sign in????? How can I fix this??? Very
frustrated, I just found this to be a problem this week?
I make very little changes and now I cant install my
scanner???? What happened to the administrator account?
Please help.

What exact error message do you get when you try to install your scanner
