I think that's what he wants - how to click on a file, move a file,
etc. (the guy he's asking for is 60+, & all of this is foreign to
him, the post said).

All very true, but if you take a look at what they offer (and I have) you
will see how shallow their instructions really are. By the way, I'm 72.

I disagree. Video Professor is best teaching product I ever used. My
daughter used the Word Class and in two hours was able to test out of
college level MS Word class.

Really? And in just 2 hours she was already at the college level? Don't you
see how ridiculous that sounds? If you had made a reasonable claim, it might
have been believable.

Yes I can read, and every day I read a newspaper or magazine ad, see a TV
commercial, or junk like your post - all purporting to offer something
FREE.

Just goes to show what passes for a college education these days :)

There are a lot of people who have visited
www.resourcenetwork.com and ordered the free guides and
use them. It is a shame you don't consider any good help
as good help. Too bad for you.

You now have the last word....
I'm adding your name to my block list.
And I will refrain from posting in the future.
Bye....bye....

Greetings --

I'm afraid that says more about the abysmally low level of
performance expected at your daughter's college than it does about the
quality of the Video Professor, which is good _only_ for the most
basic, introductory knowledge.

Free? Yes, a free sample, to businesses. Home users are advised
that they need to _purchase_ the guides.

Ahhh..... I hate to rain on your parade, but you're posting from
the CDO web interface. You don't have a blocked senders list. You
get that once you learn to use a real newsreader.

I have 4 free using my self-employ consult company.
myname co.,ltd. and wifename co.,ltd.

I would prefer to think that it save 3 credit hours at $160 apiece and she
got the same credit.

Evidently you have never had to pay for introductory classes.

You can always tell a person who knows it all, but you can't tell them much.

Ahh..., so one should lie to get the "free" samples? That's far
too expensive for my taste.

Well, of course. But he isn't using OE, is he?

My point is that any college worth attending would demand far more
subject knowledge than the Video Professor can possibly impart before
giving the credits, even for an introductory course.. H***, a high
school should have higher standards.

But if you feel you're getting your money's worth, good for you.

Everybody's laughing at Chuck, but I think he meant his daughter bought
the whole MS Word package, then completed the school test in two hours.
I could be wrong, I have been in the past. Happened once back in '43, I
think.)

The best beginner program I've seen is Microsoft Interactive Training,
from MS. A series of lessons for XP, but it's only available as an OEM
installation on new computers. BTW I'm 73, any more bidders?

| Yes, take a computer class or two. Using a CD-ROM tutorial is fine,
but when
| you hit a roadblock or glitch of some sort - no one is there to help
discuss
| and explain what happened.
|
| By the way, have you looked at the XP built-in HELP? It provides lots
of
| answers - but for the total novice, you really need to take a computer
| course or two.
