help finding and organizing files CRASH

When I install a NAS unit, while WINDOWS VISTA indexes the files, the system
becomes unstable and it go to crash...
it is possible to turn off the function "finding and organizing" files?
I can't work....

Thanks for posting. It should be possible to remove your NAS device from the
index. To do that, open the Control Panel and open Indexing Options. (you
can type "index" in the search box to find it more easily.). Click Modify
and then remove the NAS from the top of the dialog box, which controls the
list of indexed locations.
