HELP! Deleted photos and can't retrieve!

I copied some improtant baby photos to my CD and so put
the photos in the recycle bin and deleted them. BEFORE I
deleted the photos I made a restore point. However, I
need one of the photo files back as it didn't copy to the
cd and the system restore didn't help in the slightest.
In fact I did a system restore for days earlier and this
still didn't retrieve my photos. Please tell me I can get
them back so I can copy them properly!!!!

And just to add to crustys info.......... system restore is not used to
bring back or restore personal files. It for windows system files only. It
doesn't effect favs, or pics, or music, or documents, etc..

I have a similiar problem to Michelle and am completely computer illiterate. I deleted some photos from my laptop abot a year ago and have now realised i need them badly. Literally will lose my job if cannot get them. Followed crusties advice and used Eastrecovery Data pro, but am having real problems working out which files are photos etc and would love some advice on where to look. Thanks
