Help; Date Printing at bottom of page; MS Outlook 2003 SP3

I would like to print off emails without the date printing at the botton of
the page. We have used the help for MS Outlook 2003 and it has netted us no
results. Please advise.

Thank you for your assistance in advance.

I don't have Outlook 2003, so no guarantees that things are the same,
but in 2007, from the Print dialog there is a list of available
formats (I think Memo Style is default). There is a button next to
the list to "Define Styles." Click that, then select the style you
want to modify and click Edit. Under Header/Footer there may be a
field defined to print a page number and one for the date. Just
delete the date field from the footer definition, save changes, and
you should be good to go.

Again, I have no idea if these options are actually available in 2003,
but I hope this helps.

Thank you. We have tried that and the footer is empty but the date is still
printed at the bottom of the email page. We also tried adding text in the
footer and still it prints the date.

Thank you again for your assistance.

Apparently, Outlook 2003 uses IE to print HTML messages (and I assume
it probable handles plain-text, too, but don't know for sure).

If you open Internet Explorer, and open the File Menu, you will see a
"Page Setup..." option, just above "Print..."

Open that up, and you will see settings for Headers and Footers. The
defaults in my IE7 are:
&w&bPage &p of &P (Header)
&u&b&d (Footer)

Perhaps if you clear these, or at least the footer, accept the
settings, and then try to print a message from Outlook, it will print
without the date.

If you want to restore the defaults afterward for regular printing
from IE, copy mine from this post or save a .txt file with those
strings locally.

Let us know if this works; as I don't have an installation of 2003 on
which to test it.

Solution to Prevent Date Printing at Bottom of E-mails

What you need to do is compose the message in Rich Text instead of HMTL.

Got To Tools, Options, Mail Format, Compose Message in Rich Text.

You will then have to go to File, Page Setup, Define Print Styles, Select Style, Edit, Header and Footer and make sure nothing is in the Header and Footer fields.

I finally figured it out myself after a lot of anguish!
