Help! - Crash during capturing

Windows crashed while I was capturing a video using a USB-Camera.
I found a file with the name "wmt8.tmp" in the directory that usually
contains the finished videos.
Who can halp me? Is there some chance to recover the video recorded so far??

Unfortunately not. The TMP file is raw data that can't be converted into a
working video.
You will need to start over with capturing unfortunately.

What is the question?

If it is why did it crash, MM is not best used for capturing tv, use the app
which came with the card.
