HELP! COMPUTER SHUTS DOWN AND HAS BLUE SCREEN

OK, heres my problem and a bit of background. Im not sure if this is in the
right forum or not, but oh well... Last Thursday my desktop started running
VERY sluggishly...This weekend it started just stopping right in the middle
of everything and a blue screen comes up that says: "A Problem has been
detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
Kernel_Stack_Inpage_Error. Then it tells me that I should update drivers or
delete newly installed hardware/software... I havent installed anything new
in quite a while though... After that the blue screen has some "Technical
Information" and then the last thing it says is "Beginning Dump of Physical
Memory"
Now when I try to reboot, usually a screen comes up saying boot failed,
select F1 to retry or F2 for utility or whatever it is.... I try F1 but it
doesnt work... So I restarted the computer in safe mode and did a system
restore to last week... Now the computer starts up more often, but after a
while that blue screen comes back up and the computer freezes.... So, my
question is, Does any have ANY idea what is happening/why it happened/ and
how to go about fixing it? or am i just totally screwed?!

Sounds like you may have a damaged memory stick. Try using half, then the
other half.
