HELP - cannot login to VISTA

J

Jiml

When I try to login to VISTA - I get the following error displayed after I
enter my password ..

"The network connection was aborted by the local system"

This happens is both normal and safe modes.

I ran the VISTA repair and CHKDSK - no help

CHKDSK did fix a few errors.

This PC did have a bad graphics card that has been replaced, was causing
boot up problems.

Any help appreicated.

Oh, are you saying Frank can't help the OP? How about yourself?

How about you? You run your mouth like a guru's guru on everything else
concerning Vista, you lipstick on a pig and you Vista Joe the plumber.

My solution would be to nuke Vista and install either XP if you need
specialized apps/games or Ubuntu. Better yet, do a dual boot and have
the best of both worlds.

Your suggestion?

Please ignore the trolls who are being less than helpful.

I Googled the phrase "cannot log in to vista" and there were many links to
sites where similar problems are discussed. One of these might help you.
Also, on this newsgroup, you will see near the top "Search For". Type the
same phrase there and click "Go" to see a number of previous instances of
this and related problems. I hope one of these helps you.

Yes, your usual worthless lip service.
Your suggestion?

It would be for you to go take your nap.

A further thought. Open in Safe Mode and use System Restore back to the last
time everything worked properly. Don't forget first to disable any antivrus
program that attempts to protect itself against attackers.

That won't help the OP. Face it, you don't have a solution and all you
can do is spew insults and lies like a true troll.

You're touchy Alias. Did you roll out of the bed with a wild hair this
morning? Or are in a bad mood because of the count-down beat-down?

If I let you go on, you'll lip dribble for the remaining part of your
allocated time slot in the NG, which can be better served by you pimping
Linux.

I did do a google and MS search before I started this thread. Nothing fits
the problem I am having.
And, since I cannot do a restore - I guess I cannot get any real help here..

Thanks for waisting my time and yours.

May the camel gods spit in your soup.

Alias wasn't born, he was found under a rock. When his MAMA found him, she
said, "How sad, this sorry piece of crap is trying to get me to install
Linux. What a MORON". My guess is that Alias has been a moron for more
than 60+ years.

Why not head to Nigeria, take 10,000 Ubuntu CD's with you and start your
neighborhood chants, "Ubuntu, come to Ubuntu"
