Help? Cannot generate a new window without the Resize Handle control on the Status Bar

I am attempting to launch a non-resizable window *WITHOUT* the Resize
Corner or Resize Handle decoration in the lower-right corner of the
browser window's status bar. Unfortunately, unless I remove the
status bar entirely, nothing works to get rid of those three diagonal
lines.

I tried the resizable=0 or resizable=no attributes to window.open, and
they do make a non-resizable window -- but the corner control is still
there in the pop-up.

This seems like an Internet Explorer bug to me, but I have my doubts
to my conclusions because no one else has mentioned anything about it
that I can find.

Anyone else notice this?
