Heading and Paragraph numbering

I need to acheive the following:
TOC to include Heading 1 and Heading 2 styles only

Body of document to look lsomething ike this:
1.0 - Heading 1
1.1 - Heading 2
1.2 - Heading 2
1.2.1 - Heading 3
2.0 - Heading 1
2.1 - Paragraph
2.2 - Paragraph

BUT

The numbering of the paragrah is always starting at 1.1 wherever I put it in the document, It needs to follow on from the previous heading, so

1.0 - Heading 1
1.1 - Paragragh
2.0 - Heading 1
2.1 - Heading 2
2.2 - Paragraph

I have done as suggested in a previous mail and created my paragrah style based on Heading 2 and on the paragraph sreen outline level is 2.

Please help this is driving me made.

You need to create an outline numbered list according to the instructions at
http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/numbering/OutlineNumbering.html. You could
start by customizing the numbering in the second pane in the bottom row of
the list gallery (1 Heading 1, 1.1 Heading 2, 1.1.1 Heading 3, etc.). You'll
need to add a plain-text zero to the Level 1 numbering. The important point
is that Level 3 (your paragraph) needs to be part of the same list template.
You could use Heading 3, but since you don't want this level included in the
TOC, and since this would require modifying Heading 3 to body text
specifications, you'd probably be better off using Body Text instead; make
sure to change this in the "Link level to style" box.
