Headers appear in Windows Mail messages

Why am I experiencing the appearance of headers at the beginning of SOME
messages in Windows Mail? They are generally graphics-heavy mails from
commercial sources.
The problem roughly dates from my (belated) installation of SP1 on Vista
Home Premium.
Is there a control mechanism to suppress them?

Hidden headers should not normally be displayed.
Take a look at the source code of that message (Ctrl+F3).
Do you see a blank line between the hidden headers and the
displayed headers? If so, it is probably caused by the mail server.
Email client programs like Windows Mail interpret the first blank
line as the divider between headers and body text.

I've tried the ISP (Virgin Media, UK) and its advice was to reconfigure Mail,
but that has NOT improved matters (still getting 1/2 per day showing this
problem).
In fact, I have discovered an additional issue: perhaps 2/3 times a week I
will find a duplicated inbox entry which opens to a blank message. However,
if I open the mail's Properties and Message Source, I find that within it
there are headers and details from TWO (or even THREE) other messages from
different senders (which do not otherwise appear in the inbox)!!!!
Does anyone have any other suggestions please?

If you have any suspicion that your Windows Mail may be at fault
(and the additional issue seems to point in that direction), you can
try Windows Live Mail, to see if it makes any difference:

Other than that solution, any third party security software you are running
could be interfering with Windows Mail, and you would need to uninstall
them one at a time to find out which one is the culprit.
