I have built my site and published it. When I view it online the header and
title of page keeps repeating itself in the body of the page and all
information is gone ?
I've also saved my web site to disk and it saves itself this way as well !

patches?

Check with your hosting service, and see if the server extensions on the
server have been updated.

As Kevin said, you will need to check with your host to see if the
extensions on the server have been updated. There are several patches and
updates that need to be applied in order to get rid of the problem.

where do I download these ? does it make any difference that I'm on the 2003
FP trial ?

The FP extensions don't apply to you on your local machine unless you are running Windows 2000 Pro
or Windows XP Pro with IIS installed. Do you have any of other version of FP installed on your
machine?

I have had the same problem as well. I am using Frontpage 2002. All Office
updates have been applied, I have used my web server for years and all
Frontpage extensions are updated.

I have over 200 pages on my web site. My computer died on 01 Dec. 2004. It
will never run again. I have multiple backups that I tried to use to
reconstruct my web site on a new computer and then publish to the server.

When I opened my backup web sites, the only page that appeared in the
"Navigation" view was the home page. On all of my backup pages the "shared
boarders" are duplicaated three or more times on each page and almost all
pages are flaged as being corrupted. Beside having to reconstruct pages, many
pages have so many errors in formating that they have to almost completely
re-written.

If I remove "shared boards" from a page, some of the duplicated text is
removed. The page is still reported as being corrupt. Adding back shared
boarders gives me a page with the multiple shared boarders appearing on it as
well as duplicated text.

Another frustration is that Microsoft will not activate my reinstallation of
FrontPage 2002 on my new computer. I have had to format the hard disk on the
new computer and re-install the pre-installed programs twice since 27 Dec
2004.

I wonder if you are having the same problems?

The best option would be to open your live/remote site in FP, since it has the FP extensions and
then publish it back to your new PC, this way you would maintain the structure of your web site.

-- Thomas: I did just what you suggested to get a copy of the web site on my new computer. Errors (including the duplications and the lack of a navigation structure that I mentioned above ended up on the new computer ) that were found in the downloaded files did not exist in the web site on the server. I used backups to correct some of the errors in my files.

This problem started six to eight months ago. I have been using FrontPage
since 1999 and have not had this problem.

I still have the ability to open FrontPage on my new computer - but they are
ticking away. I have wondered if the fact that I have not been able to
activate my old 2002 version could have anything to do with the problem. But,
the problem started before I installed FrontPage 2002 on the new computer.

My web site often exceeds 240 MB in size. I wonder if the web site is just
too large a project for FrontPage. I have started making corrections using
notepad and streight HTML. The web site contains scientific data. Several
pages need to be updated daily. Note pad is too slow for me.

If you open the site directly in FP and published, then I could see that normally happening if you
had make changes to the live/remote content outside of FP, in which case the site would function
normally in a browser, but the extensions would not have been aware of any changes that you had
made.

With a size of 240 MB, I would recommend breaking it down into subwebs by section, etc.
