Header/Footer - Portraint vs Landscape

I have inserted a header and footer in a doc. I have one page that is landscape and all remaining pages are portrait. I have managed to get the header on all pages, but when I insert the footer in the page that is landscape it appears on the first page of the doc (which i do not want). I have clicked "different first page" but this makes no difference! Any ideas

Thanks

If you don't want the footer on the first page (landscape
page), you need to put the footer on the first page of the
section that contains portrait pages--Make sure you put a
section break prior to the portrait pages.

Hope that helps.

Different first page doesn't work because it refers to the first page of a
SECTION, and you already have multiple sections and section breaks where the
orientation changes. This is easier to see in Normal view.

Click on View Headers and Footers. Use the icon on the resulting toolbar to
toggle off Same as Previous, and be sure you placed the footer in the
section you want it in.
