Having trouble accessing News Groups.

Tonight I have been close to slashing my wrists! I have been trying to post a
query on the Discussion Groups Forum. Everytime I click on the "Sign In"
icon, the screen goes blank and then refreshes but doesn't sign me in.
Sometimes it shows that I am signed in, but I still can't post a question.
Whenever I click on 'Question'and 'New', a star with an exclamation mark
appears. This is happening both in my PC running XP and my laptop running
Vista. Not quite sure how I eventually managed to get to this point of at
last being able to post this question.

I've had this problem before and it drives me to distraction. I have turned
off the Pop-up blocker, but maybe something in Windows OneCare is causing a
problem. I run it on both the PC and laptop.

Does anyone know what it is I am doing incorrectly?

Well, you wrongly posted this to the wrong NG. This is a .Net programmer's
NG. It is not a Windows O/S NG. You should find NG(s) that have Windows in
the name, MS.Public.Windows.Vista.General or XP.General.
