having problems trying to set up a LAN

I just got a new computer with XP MCE on it and am trying to set it up to
share files/printers with two other computers that are both using 98SE. I
had a working Lan with three 98SE systems but am having problems with the XP
network wizard not seeing the other two computers. I have a cable modem that
feeds into a router and then out to each of the three computers. After
running the XP cd on the 98SE computers (per instructions) and rebooting I
get an error message that "the wizard cannot find the network hardware". Any
suggestions?
