Hello Everyone

I have a system which has retail version of Windows XP Pro, when I installed XP, I chose English as the language. I am giving the computer to my uncle in a Spanish Speaking Country. How can I change the 'Core' language to Spanish? By Core, I mean, the Menus are in Spanish, the Help is in Spanish, ...... everything is Spanish

Thank Yo

Windows XP is written in specific language versions, therefore one
cannot change it from one language version to another. You'll need
to purchase a "Full Version" of Windows XP in the language version
you desire, reformat your drive and install it "clean".

Or if you have an available empty drive or partition, you can install
another "Full Version" of Windows XP in a different language version
and create a dual-boot configuration.

A good third-party partitioning program is Partition Magic 8.

You must purchase and do a clean installation of the Spanish version of
Windows XP.

If you install the IE (Internet Explorer) Spaninsh
version, you will have some Spanish menus (My computer
file menus, Outlook Express, and the IE browser itself).

However, if you want the "core" OS to be in Spanish, you
need to purchase the multi-language Spanish OS which is
somewhat expensive and is a separate install. But this
will be your answer--contact Microsoft software sales for
a price and detailed explanation.
