Have colour printer but PP2003 will only print in grayscale

HI everyone

I have a user who can print fine in colour in every application bar
Powerpoint 2003.

When the user comes to print, the option come up as 'Colour (Black &
White Printer) despite it being a colour printer. Even when going in
to print preview it displays as grayscale.

Every other office app prints fine and does not exhibit this
beahviour.

This would suggest its a problem with PP2003 specifically, but why
does only powerpoint think the printer can only print in black &
white???

Stumped - any help would be greatly appreciated.

They're standard settings ....

'Use the most recently used printer setting' - not set to grayscale
basically .....

Most apps don't really look that closely at the printer driver (ie, to
determine whether it's color or b/w). PPT does and sometimes the information
the driver passes back isn't correct (or PPT misinterprets it ... we'll leave
the finger pointing to MS and the printer manufacturer <g>)

I'd check for an updated version of the driver.

You could also install the Microsoft Document Imaging driver that comes with
Office 2003 and print to that, then print to the chosen printer (just as a
workaround and test, of course)
