I have a .PST file that is 10gig big. It has thousands of emails. (in Outlook
'07)

Now I don't need all of them right in front of me, however, I cant archive
them, as I have to have it easy to go back to read one of them.

But the whole system is running slow.

Is there a way I can move them into either a separate program or in a way
they dont load by default, only when I need to look at them?

Thanks

That's exactly what archiving does. It puts data into a separate pst file
that you can open and close at will within Outlook. What did you think
archiving did?

I thought you have to import it in order to view the archive.
If not, how do you view the content?

Thanks

In Outlook do File-Open-Outlook Data file. If the archive file was created
in the default location, it will automatically show.
And no, you should NEVER import Outlook data.
