has anyone had trouble opening a .pst file backup for OUTLOOK?

Hi. Backed up my outook folders, creating a .pst file. Tried opening it using
'backup' from the outlook file menu, and got an error message saying that it
wasn't compatible with this outlook version/it might be corrupted. Is this
the only way to back up my emails/calendar? I'm using outlook 2003.

Hi wisey 28,

maybe your PST file is corrupted. You could try to repaair it with the
microsoft program "scanpst.exe".
