Hard Drives

Richie

Hi

I just recently posted this in a windows XP news group and got pointed in
your direction, sorry if you have seen this before

I was looking at a new hard drive for my machine and on one of the boxes it
had Windows NT/2000/Xp max = 138GB and that was it. Does this mean that
windows can only handle 138GB in total or 138GB per drive?

OT now. is there a away to add another hard drive to the computer when there
are already 4 drives on the machine (if ya don't want to answer this can ya
point me in the direction of another news group)

Cheers

Rich.

Nope, it doesnt have that limit when updated properly.

Yes, there are addon drive controllers that allow you to go
past the basic 4 supported by the motherboard controllers.

It generally makes more sense to replace
one of the drives with a much bigger one tho.
