hey .

i purchased a new hard drive model (hts541060G9AT00) for my inspiron
5150 . both have form factor 2.5" . when i got the hard disk the pins
<i mean connecting ones > were different. my old hard drive has the
pins like ram has . and new has like desktop has (pins).

now the hdd manual says hhd is compatible. so how to connect it with
the computer.


can any one help me out

Looks like you got the wrong one.

So you bought the wrong drive.
now the hdd manual says hhd is compatible.

It says its got pins. You need a drive that doesnt have pins.
so how to connect it with the computer.

Get the correct drive instead.

Yep, that adapter tends to screw up everyone who swaps their first
notebook HD. Don't beat yourself up about it!
