hard drive problem

Hi everyone,
I'm thinking about doing something that's a little bit out of this world,
and I'm not even sure if I am allowed or if I can do it, but I have a Compaq
Presario 5441 running XP. The hard drive in the Compaq is not the original,
but it is a Western Digital 40 GB.
I also have another computer, in which the hard drive failed most likely due
to overheating and also because I kept that computer on too long. This hard
drive had XP Pro, but it was not my mine, it was my sister's and her
boyfriend made it.
My question is, can I move the hard drive from the Compaq to the other
computer? Are there any possible conflicts?
Many thanks,
shp

Moving a hard drive from one computer to another is difficult because of
all the legacy drivers from the old and having
to install all new drivers. If you clean out the Device Manager of most
of the Devices (Uninstall) before moving over it
may work OK.
