in the past with the original mother board i would access it at bootup using
ctrl+alt f6 i cannot get it now at all i do know that it was created using
norton ghost by stone computers the original supplier i think the problem is
because it is a ghost of the original system the new mother board doesnt
recognise it and behaves as if it isnt there although it is listed in disk
mangement

If the new motherboard is not an exact replacement of the original
motherboard, then it is doubtful that a hot-key exists in POST to
steer the booting of the computer to the recovery partition. But it
might be possible to do it manually by going into bios setup and
pointing to that partition with, presumably, an executable recovery
image file.

But there are also other potential problems. Again, if the motherboard
is not an exact replacement of the original, then the Windows XP image
file in the recovery partition will certainly have incompatible driver
files, if not specific driver files needed by the new motherboard. The
factory settings will only work with the factory-supplied motherboard.

Too much trouble reading a post that doesn't bother to use periods and
capitalization to delineate sentences. You want help but require the
reader to waste time reconstructing the structure you omitted.
Write like a child, get treated like one. Bye.
