Hard Drive not accessible

Hi

I have a PC running XP Pro fully updated, I have full virus and Internet
security, the PC has two Hard Drives, C and F, D and E being DVD Drives.

The F drive is no longer accessible, it appears in BIOS, Hardware Manager
and in Disk Manager in My Computer "Manage" and is all cases is shown to be
okay but in Explorer, when I click on it I get an error box "Drive is not
accessible or is corrupt"

It was working fine when I shut down last night but today, even after
several reboots it is still not accessible.

Any ideas on what happened and how to fix it?

thanks

Try running CHKDSK from the C: drive with the /F switch in a DOS window.
(CHKDSK F: /F). I just had the same problem after Nero Express froze my
system forcing me to do a hard reboot (pull the plug) after Windows would
not shut down normally. You can get info on CHKDSK by typing CHKDSK /? in a
DOS prompt.

Hope this helps, Ed
