Hard drive Help

Steve

Here is the deal...

IDE channel 1 Maxtor 80 gig H/D and Zip as slave
IDE channel 2 master dvd burner, slave dvd player
IDE channel 3 Two Maxtor 80 gig H/D set to master and slave
IDE channel 4 Two WD 120 gig H/D set to master and slave

System board sees all drives
If I go into control pannel under system hardware, I can
see all the drives, but when I go into my computer or into
explorer, I am missing one of the WD hard drives

Ideas???

Are they assigned drive letters? Right click on My Computer and select
Manage. On the following screen, select Disk Management and then look at
the right hand side of the screen.

I hope you have a REALLY high wattage PSU to support all that hardware,
you're putting quite a load on it!

Just go back and check the jumpers. I have 6 drives on my
computer so I've been there just make sure that you read
the jumper key right they can be tricky and another idea
would be to make sure that the jumpers match the ribbon
cable. Ex the end one is master and the middle one is
slave ;)

Good Luck
