Hard Disk Problems

There are 2 physical hard drives in my computer. Master is Maxtor 6Y80L0,
which is new. Slave is ibm IC35L040AVVN07-0, about 3 years.

1 First problem is temperature, running at 46°C /47°C within a couple of
hours. Critical was set at 40°C
S.M.A.R.T. report is Value=127, Threshold=0, Worst=127, Inc=+2
How critical is this problem?

2. "Attribute Seek Time Performance changes from 251 to 252", and back
again. Back and forth 4 times within an hour. Again how critical?

3. There's some noise. When the hard disk is spinning real fast it's fine,
but when little demand is made, it seems to click, and then "slip and
squeak" occasionally, sounding labored, for a second or so. I assume it's
the master hard drive and not the one mentioned above.

Above info from HDD Health, which I installed thinking the noise isn't quite
all right.

Sounds like a failing hd, both maxtor and ibm have available, on their sites
hd checking utilities
