Halo msXMLEN.MSI problems Read Below

Whenever i run halo now, (Cat 4.7) it gets stuck at the microsoft logo screen
(the one right before the menu screen), the sound for the menu comes up and
when i move the mouse i hear menu sounds (clicks) but the menu is not being
displayed, no errors or nothing or hard locks, just no menu display with the
Halo moving about in the background.

I tried the strings.dll and that didnt seem to fix anything... Halo 1.4
update is already there since I play everyday.

Whenever I ran the Cat 4.8 beta, i get menu,gameplay, during which oncreen
status such as "Player2 was killed Player3", could not be displayed, do you
have any idea what the problem is? Can't see any text i type either. Tried
re-installing msxmlenu file, still not working.

Yeah Just at 3.2 from 3.0c - temps hover around 50 @load both gpu and cpu

Have any idea what the problem maybe? or a fix for what i am experiencing in
Halo?

Hi,

Well, if restoring the previous Catalyst drivers doesn't solve
the issue, then you might want to undo the overclocking as
a test. You never know, that just might fix the issue.

I'm sure that you and Paul will be able to collaborate and
find out what's happening.

Only video I can get with the 4.8 is some white lines and stuff, I guess

I did report it, didnt work. they said report it to gearbox and MS, gearbox
look at my dxdiag and sai that was too complicated so heres ms

I've installed cat4.6 (earliest) driver supporting my video card thru
4.8b
all of them have the menu problem only the 4.8 get past the menu but no
ingame chat then, or stats. Tried reinstalling MSIXMLEN.msi from cd and
gamedir still nothing.

Weird cuz it's working on my other machines with ATI cards.
