Half my text is marked to not be spell checked, how do I fix it

Some of my text, particularly after graphics is marked as "do not check
spelling or grammar" or so the abc spell checker tells me so. How in the
world do I turn this off, or "unmark" that text???? Help please, I have a
report due very soon!

Press Ctrl+A to select everything, then press Alt+T, L L. Make sure that
your language is selected and clear the Do not check... box. If it is gray,
then that means that part of the selected text has that setting, and part
doesn't. You want that box to be white, not gray or checked.

I suggest you check it one by one..or try F12 if it doesnt work.

Checking one by one won't work if the text is marked as "Do not check."
That's the whole point of marking it so, to make the spell checker skip it.
The only way to ensure that all text is checked is to Ctrl+A (Select All)
and use Tools | Language | Set Language to completely clear the "Do not
check spelling or grammar" check box.

F12 runs the Save As command; I don't know what good that would do.

I have done this and I still get the message that "Spelling and Grammar Check
complete. Text marked "do not check spelling or grammar" were skipped. Any
other suggestions? I am using Word 2000. Thank you!
