Guru's Question...Bootcfg?

J

JP Breton

I was looking on some information on the web about the bootcfg.exe command.

I understant that this bootcfg command is use to change the boot.ini file.

But is that all??

I mean, I am pretty sure that this command is use for something else ...and
not only changing a simple .INI file??

Thanks for any help

[[This command line tool can be used to configure, query, change or
delete the boot entry settings in the BOOT.INI file.]]

For bootcfg help, type this in a commandd prompt bootcfg /?

Bootcfg
Start | Run | Paste this in the box and click OK...

hh ntcmds.chm::/bootcfg.htm

None of this is needed. The boot.ini can be edited in Notepad.

Why don't you copy and paste the title of the MSKB article and include that
as well?

It would save some folks the time and trouble of clicking the link to see
what the heck the link leads to.

I just think that it would be common courtesy. You do what you want.

So what? They should be able to do _something_ for themselves. They
could've Googled for it on their own in the 1st place, for example.
People need to take a greater degree of ownership and responibility for
the technology they use, coddling them defeats that goal.
