"guide" for RJ45 plugs

Lenny Vaz

I make ethernet cables, and I'm trying to order a part that I don't know the
name of. They help guide the stranded wires into the RJ45 plug very easily,
and they're about 1 cm square. Anyone know what I'm talking about and what
they're called so I can order them?

TIA.

In addition to any excellent answers you might receive here, in my
opinion you really should check out these smaller but dedicated
groups too.

comp.dcom.telecom.tech (probably very good)
comp.dcom.cabling
comp.dcom.modems.cable

Good luck.

The ones I'm familiar with come with the plugs.

I have AMP p/n 5-558530 for stranded wire
and 5-569278 for solid wire.
