guest books use prompts log in to server?

I have a simple site. I placed a guest book form in the site. When I tested
it live, it prompts for a log in after submitting the comment. How do I make
it so the guest book updates automatically?

Have your host make sure the _private folder has server write permissions applied.

Or have form save the guest log in a different location on your web.

I am having the same problem. I chose your second option--have the form save
the guest comments to a different location, but one is still prompted to log
in. Any other ideas?

Have your host make sure the server has "anonymous" write permissions set for the folder you use to save the log file.
