and Vista loses it's wireless internet connection. Stupid "diagnose &
repair" tells me it thinks there is an issue with the router. there
isn't. so i reboot vista and the internet connection resumes. POS.

you are changing the electromagnetic lines of the space around you.

I suggest you give up moving if you want to use vista...

or install XP that "just works" (TM)

:) either suggestion would likely solve the problem. ANYTHING but
continuing to use Vista. <g>

Make sure Vista is not set to power down the appropriate peripheral after
some idle period.
