Group Policy to delete local profile?

I know there is a group policy to delete roaming profiles when a user
logs off. When our users log on they get the group policies but are
actually creating a local profile on the machine. I want these local
profiles deleted during logoff because these profiles ulimately fill
up the hard drive with so many students logging on. I know you can
use the delprof to delete these profiles but is there a policy setting
I can set to delete the students local profile when they log off?

Thanks
Dawn

You can use the following to delete locally cached profiles with roaming
profiles;
274152 Using Group Policy to Delete Cached Copies of Roaming Profiles
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=274152

However if I read your situation right, each user that logs on will be
getting a "default" profile with no settings etc.

Thanks for the information but I have tried this and it doesn't work.
You are correct each user that logs on gets the local "default"
profile. I am guessing this is why the policy doesn't work to delete
the cached copy on logoff. Any other ideas?

Thanks

I have the same problem. also at a school

I have set the policies for all users and coputers to delete cached copies of roaming profiles but it does not work. a folder in c:\windows called csc fills up with the local profiles, eventually filling up the hard drive - some 4gb in only a few months

i would like a script to delete everything in the csc folder every day - from a central location preferably

The CSC Folder is the Cache for your Offline Files. There should be no
profile data in it. Check the configuration of your offline file Settings
(you can also limit the space that offline files can use). Maybe you checked
the "make available offline" setting on your Profiles-Share?

I found the answer to this ...

on the local machine you must set the offline files option to disabled.

go to my computer > tools > options > offline files tab

i've found the server seettings are innefective as you did.
