group policy,OU with group not applying

Ok..i had users in a ou,i created a group then added them ,then i moved the
org user account to users OU, now the policy is not applying. to the
users...was i supposed to keep the user account in the OU...or keep the
group in the users OU...then just have users in the OU...im confused
here...i thought if there in a group and i add the group to the OU that the
policy would apply to everyone in the OU...

The GPO will only apply to those user objects in that same
OU which meet the criteria of the GPO (i.e. any group
filter used).

Leave the users in the same OU as that which the GPO
applies to and add them all to a group which is used to
filter the GPO.

OK...not sure i understand that...so your saying have users in the OU....the
group part is what im not sure your meaning to do with..could u tell me
little more..?
