Group policy not being applied

I have an ou set up for a few laptops on a w2k server, i
have applied a gpo with things like do not show last user
name in computer settings but these are not being applied.
the laptops are all xp pro.

any ideas why the gpo isnt being applied?

Verify that the clients are not pointing to your ISP for DNS. They need to
point to a DNS server that holds the records for your domain.
If that is not the problem then you should follow the troubleshooting steps
in the paper below

Tim, I am having the same problem, can you please explain a little more
about the role of DNS as it relates to AD and Group policy?
