Group Policy intermittent application: Userenv errors

Hi,

I have some XP workstations where the AD Group Policies
intermittently do not apply. I have checked several
machines and appear to be getting similar errors.

USERENV(2a4.df4) 12:52:20:675 PolicyChangedThread:
UpdateUser failed with 1008.
USERENV(2a4.a2c) 12:52:38:988 GetGPOInfo: Local GPO's
gpt.ini is not accessible, assuming default state.

Any suggestions on what is causing the error??

Hi Martin,

There are a couple of things that could be causing this. First
you should check the DNS settings and make sure that the client
is only pointing to the internal AD DNS server for resolution and
not to the ISP or any other DNS server.

Second make sure that if you have the WebClient service running
you should disable it for testing to see what difference that makes.

If these don't work can you provide a little more of the USERENV file?
