group policy editor

This question refers to Windows XP home edition. I try to run the group
policy editor utility (gpedit.msc) in the "RUN" command window but it says it
is invalid command. Is this command only available on Windows XP Professional
edition only?

Yes, that's correct.

The Local Security Policy console, gpedit.msc, is not available in XP Home
Edition. That said, many of the policies can be configured by editing the
registry.

If you're looking to control user behavior, you might want to consider these
programs.

So even the local security policy utility is not available, is that correct?
I was trying to go to the account policy to make some changes.

That's correct. Secpol.msc is not available in Windows XP Home Edition.
