Group policies not applying

Christoph Kling

Hello,

I encounter error 1030 (Userenv) on every gpupdate /force and 40961 (LsaSrv)
on every windows start of a XP SP2 workstation. Other workstations do not
encounter these errors (XP SP2 too). The latest message says:

The Security System could not establish a secured connection with the server
ldap/mydc1.mydomain.com/[email protected]. No authentication
protocol was available.

The strange thing is that I can access network shares on the domain
controller as well as log into the computer with different users. So the
computer may have access to the active directory to authenticate users but
cannot download group policies. The domain controller is a Windows 2003
Server SP1. I'm quiet desperated so I would be glad for every hint.

Regards
