Group Calendar

Hello,

We have Exchange 2007 + Outlook 2007.

All of our calendars are shared, therefore it is easy to open a few
colleagues' calendars and overlay them with one's own calendar.
This suits me fine.

Unfortunately that solution is deemed inadequate by our receptionist,
because she doesn't want to open 20 calendars (and there are indeed
performance issue when doing so). She needs to be able to tell instantly to
someone on the phone if someone is available or not, and it is also nice for
other colleagues to be able to see at once who is on vacation.

Hence a good solution would be:
1. Own calendar
2. Team calendar (a view, or a calendar automatically generated with no need
for people to do anything special)

instead of
1. Own calendar
2. Many other colleagues calendar.

Is there such a solution on the market / for free? How do you solve this
problem?

Thanks,
Cedric

NB. A few years ago we used a corporate calendar app programmed with VB an
based on Exchange 2000 event sinks but there were always event problems and
also difficulties when appointment were moved or appointment guests were
changed.

Tell her to click the View Group Schedule button. In the toolbar beside the
Today button.

She can set up a Group Schedule of all 30 Calendar and open it whenever she
wants. It's in version 2002, 2003 and 2007.
