If you saved it as Read Only you've answered your own question - you can't
modify a read only file. That's what "read only" means.
If you provide enough detail - such as what version of Word you're using &
exactly how you saved the file as Read Only there may be a way to remove
that restriction so the file can be edited... But PLEASE turn off the Caps
Lock if you do reply. Electronic messages in all capital letters is the
equivalent of shouting at your audience & and is very difficult to read. In
most circles (including this one) it is also considered rude. Thanks
