First I have to thank all who answered my pervious question. It is great
when you know that there is some one over there can provide you a helping
hand when you need it. Unfortunately because my poor knowledge in IT I
couldn't fix it (W32.Swen.A@mm).

Grateful if some explain the following:

1) How can I disable System Restore?

2) How can I uncheck "Hide file extensions for known file types?" (From
Folder options- View tab)

P.S

Skulle vara tacksam om någon kunde förklara det på svenska.

Thank you for your responds.

Now when I run Fix Tool for W32.Swen.A@mm I get the message that
"W32.Swen.A@mm has not been found on your computer" And every time I check
my OE, Norton Antivirus 03 tell me that my PC is infected with this virus.

How can I avoid getting hundreds of this annoying and irksome mail?

Thank you for your responds.

Now when I run Fix Tool for W32.Swen.A@mm I get the message that
"W32.Swen.A@mm has not been found on your computer" And every time I
check my OE, Norton Antivirus 03 tell me that my PC is infected with
this virus.

How can I avoid getting hundreds of this annoying and irksome mail?

1) OE go to Tools\Option\General Tab and uncheck the following:
a) Send and receive messages at startup
b) Check for new messages every

OE will not send or receive messages when you start it.
OE will not check for new messages based on an elapsed time while it's
running.

2) OE go to Tools\Option\Send Tab and uncheck the following:
a) Send messages immediately

What you have done is taken OE out of its sending and receiving of emails
automatically.

You can down load Mailwasher (it's free) and install it.

You run Mailwasher before you start OE and it allows you to look at your
emails before you start OE and review what you have for new emails. You
can then delete the ones you don't want at the ISP's email server. And
then you can start OE and pull the remaining *good* emails into OE.

To send an email with OE, you use the SEND button as before. But the
email at that point is placed into OE's OUTBOX, and to send the email
from the OUTBOX, you use the SEND/RECV button, which will SEND the emails
and RECEIVE the emails from the ISP's mailserver.

Don't let OE pull the emails on its own. You take control as to when OE
sends or receives an email.

Use Mailwasher to filter/delete the emails you don't want before pulling
the ones you do want into OE.

Duane :)
