Graphics won't display on certain sites

Just recently I noticed that while visiting certain sites, the graphics will not display in IE6. I can view everything fine in Netscape. I checked the page source and noted that the graphics that won't display properly are a link. i.e. <a href="advertise.cgi?Catagory(sic)=stamps"></a

Can anyone tell me what is happening here

Thanks.

Thank you!Thank you!Thank you! We have been going nuts
trying to figure out why our Dell's would not download all
the pictures on some websites. We were on with Dell tech
support for hours looking for an answer. Two Dell C600
configured exactly alike, one would work the other would
not. We changed every option and setting we could think
of in Internet Explorer 6. Nothing worked until I tried
Netscape. Netscape works perfectly. Bill Gates had
better look into this, because there is definitely
something no user friendly in the new IE6 release.

I guess it is some comfort to know that it isn't just my imagination! I tried sending the original post via IE6 for over 24 hours only to have the message "Service Temporarily Unavailable. We apologize for this inconvenience. Please try again later." display over and over again. I find it ironic beyond belief that I had to crank up Netscape to post to this board. The post sailed on through on the first attempt.

Things that make you go hmmmmm

There seems to be a problem with coding in IE 6!

Go to view, encoding, western European (Windows)
But, only temp solution!
